Breathing Buddy Guided Breathing Light & Nightlight by Special Supplies

Breathing Buddy gives breathing practice a visible rhythm. For children with special needs who benefit from visual prompts, its changing light offers a concrete cue to follow while learning a breathing routine with a parent, caregiver, educator, or therapist. Teens and adults can also use it for mindful breathing and quiet breaks.

A visual guide for everyday breathing practice

Place Breathing Buddy where the user can comfortably see it and select a breathing mode using the controls underneath. Green signals breathing in, blue signals breathing out, and purple signals a hold in modes that include one.

The three preset patterns are:

• Mode 1: Breathe in for 3 seconds and out for 3 seconds, with no hold.

• Mode 2: Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 1 second, and breathe out for 4 seconds.

• Mode 3: Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, and breathe out for 8 seconds.

The light provides the timing, so the user can follow the color changes without counting each second. The different patterns offer a choice of pacing; a longer pattern is not a goal every user needs to reach.

One light for breathing practice and bedtime routines

Use Breathing Buddy during a planned quiet break at home, as part of a classroom calm corner, or during a guided mindfulness activity. For bedtime routines, switch to nightlight mode and choose from eight light colors.
