For children with special needs who seek firm pressure around their body, the Special Supplies Weighted Sensory Compression Vest combines a snug, adjustable fit with removable weights. It gives parents, caregivers, educators, and therapists two ways to provide sensory input: compression on its own or compression with added weight.

Adjust the fit and weighted feel separately

Shoulder and midsection straps let you adjust how the vest fits around the torso. Removable sandbag weights sit in front and back pockets, so the weighted feel can be tailored to the child’s individual use plan without changing the vest.

Use it as part of a sensory routine during activities such as reading, seated classroom work, or planned sensory breaks at home or school. A soft design with breathable mesh side panels and a printed interior label helps make comfort part of the experience.

What’s included

Each purchase includes one navy vest in your selected size and removable sandbag weights:

• X-Small: Two ½ lb weights and two ¼ lb weights, totaling 1.5 lb. Two front pockets and two back pockets.

• Small, Medium, and Large: Two ½ lb weights and four ¼ lb weights, totaling 2 lb. Two front pockets and four back pockets.

These totals describe the included removable weights, not the amount every child should wear.

Choosing a size

Measure from shoulder to waist and completely around the chest. Compare both measurements with the listed dimensions:

The shoulder and midsection closures allow fit adjustments. Choose by measurements rather than appearance or age alone.

Care

Remove all weights and secure the hook-and-loop closures before washing. Machine wash the vest in cold water and hang dry only.

Before use

Ask your child’s occupational therapist whether weighted compression is appropriate and for guidance on fit, weight placement, and wearing time. Follow the product instructions and the child’s individual use plan.

Hug-like pressure for everyday sensory needs

Some children with special needs seek the close-fitting sensation of firm pressure around their bodies. The Special Supplies Adjustable Sensory Compression Vest offers a wearable way to provide that input, combining flexible neoprene with adjustable hook-and-loop closures. Sizes are available for children, teens, and adults.

Make sensory input part of familiar routines

For a wearer who enjoys compression, the vest can be used during activities such as reading, drawing, tabletop play, or a sensory break. Its wearable design leaves the hands free, so the wearer can take part in an activity while receiving pressure around the upper body.

Parents, caregivers, educators, and therapists can use the wearer’s comfort and individual needs to guide when the vest is appropriate. Sensory preferences vary, and not everyone enjoys compression.

Adjust the fit, not just the size

The hook-and-loop closures let you adjust how closely the vest fits around the torso. Flexible neoprene follows the body’s shape, while the option to wear it over or under clothing lets you choose the layering the wearer prefers.

Aim for a comfortable, snug fit, not the tightest possible fit.

Product details

• Material: Flexible neoprene

• Closures: Adjustable hook-and-loop

• Sizes: XS, Small, Medium, and Large

• Colors: Green, Gray, Blue, Purple, and Black

• Wearing options: Over or under clothing

Choosing a size

Choose by measurements and fit rather than age or usual clothing size alone. If you are unsure which size to order, contact Special Supplies for sizing assistance before purchasing.

Fit and use

The vest should feel snug without restricting breathing or movement. Children should use it with adult supervision. Stop use if it causes discomfort. An occupational therapist can provide individualized guidance on whether compression is appropriate for the wearer.

Spin Discs Rotana set by Muffik is an unmissable accessory that pushes Muffik's vision for healthy development a level up! These are safety-tested, rotating discs embedded in puzzle shape mats to help children twists while playing. Compatible with Muffik regular-size mats or 4 minis, these are great attractions among kids especially while playing fun games like Floor is Lava!

In addition to active exercises and games, it can also be used for so-called dynamic sessions. By placing Spin Discs Rotana on a work chair or on the floor, you can keep your back in the correct sitting position. These discs will help to relieve the pressure from your spine and straighten your shoulders and chest.

Pets Sensory Snuffle Set by Muffik is a beautiful 8-piece playset designed for Cats and Dogs.

Muffik floors are used for early neurological stimulation of puppies. Walking and playing on the Muffik floors stimulates all the puppies' senses, which perfectly starts the development of good balance, motor skills, self-confidence, and courage.

Puppies do not hesitate at all when moving on different surfaces. They take it naturally and don't care about unevenness, grating stairs, platforms, and other surfaces. Thanks to their different surfaces, orthopedic floors compensate puppies for the time spent at home, where they lack stimuli.

For adult dogs, the floors are also beneficial for rehabilitation, basic training, and balance training, for example.
